Weave Rite Tools

WEAVE RITE TOOLS are hand crafted weaving tools which replace ice picks, awls, screwdrivers, and other similar articles used to weave with. They are safer, easier to use, and prevent splitting and fraying of the weaving material.

The walnut and cherry wood handles are dipped in a natural finish which forms a hard, water resistant surface and will not chip. The stainless steel tips are hand forged and ground and polished.

  • SMALL TOOLS - are used on miniture baskets and to do small detailed work on larger baskets. They can be held like a pencil for close accurate work. Four tips are available. original, narrow, waxed linen, pick
  • REGULAR TOOLS - are for medium size baskets.
  • HEAVY DUTY TOOLS - are for larger baskets and used when more pressure is required.
  • HEAVY DUTY PACKING TOOL - an excellent fingernail saver when packing down reed. It has many other uses since its short length allows it to get into small places.
  • EXTRA LONG TOOLS - are used whenever a longer reach is required.

All tools are simple and easy to use without any instruction. Most weavers quickly develop their own techniques in handling the tools and are continually finding new uses for them. Although many time any tool can preform the same task, there are special application for each tool.
